Charity Cycle Ride

On Saturday 23rd October, The Swansgate Shopping Centre celebrated Wellingborough’s twinning with its second European country Wittlich in Germany with a 745 mile charity cycle ride challenge. For every mile that was cycled £1 was donated between the charities Crazy Hats and Autistic children charity Son –Rise.
Mayor of Wellingborough, Cllr Lora Lawman officially started the cycle ride joined by the Twinning Association and representatives from the beneficiary charities – Glennis from Crazy Hats and the team.
The final distance was 767 miles and with the donations from the face painting Swansagte will be donating over £800 between the chosen charities.
